Carter Thomas
Carter Thomas is a senior undergraduate student studying electrical engineering working as a STEM Student Support Specialist through ACE. In this position, Carter performs regular consultations providing study strategies for students as well as advice regarding involvement, research opportunities, scholarships, and career opportunities. He has developed and facilitated a variety of workshops designed to address common challenges and topics of interest within the engineering field. Carter has focused his undergraduate career on the success of his peers, working to provide resources to increase retention and success of STEM programs throughout FSU.
Gerald Ciani
Gerald Ciani is a senior undergraduate student majoring in chemistry. However, the passions he has are not solely linked to chemistry, instead the entire STEM field. For STEM to advance, student success and retention for undergraduates is paramount. As a STEM Student Support Specialist in the natural sciences for the Academic Center for Excellence, Gerald takes pride in enveloping student success. In this position, he conducts one-on-one consultations with students, facilitates STEM workshops through the presentation of academic guides, and creates content for the ACE STEM Support tab. Gerald’s work fosters success in STEM, which is a crucial aspect of FSU’s academic objectives.
