What is a PASS Leader?

If you love teaching or want to get specialized training and experience then this will be a great opportunity for you. 

The PASS Leader attends lecture and takes notes in order to prepare for organizing and planning student centered learning activities which help students engage in and focus on learning the most difficult course material of that week's lectures. PASS Leaders spend significant time planning activities and facilitation of the sessions. 

The PASS Leader role is also a paid position with ACE requiring approximately 10 hours per week, and the job consists of the following weekly duties:

  • Attending 3 hours of lecture
  • 2-3 hours facilitating PASS sessions
  • 1 hour meeting with the PASS Supervisor
  • 3-4 course planning/record keeping hours

Applications for PASS Leader positions for Fall 2019 have been reviewed and interviews were conducted. All outcome emails were sent at the end of Spring semester, and final candidates were notified as well.
